i do appreciate reading this to get a clearer picture of what happened to me earlier this month when my account was unceremoniously removed (thankfully reinstated). but i can tell you after having been on the platform for almost five years, always loving Medium because i get to write stories I really want to here it was jarring to have everything taken away in an instant. i had just become a Friend of Medium too, so i could give back when i read someone’s work.

i'm still a Friend since i believe in giving my all to what i commit to. i hope in future sweeps things are done somewhat differently since Medium is aware that people like me did get caught in the crosshairs. it was humbling and heartbreaking having people ask me what happened to my site before i even knew myself.

i 💯 percent support getting rid of actual threats to the community here of course. writing comes easy to me, but it is still a labor and all of us who labor should have a fair playing field.
